Maximus has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program certification for an artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant designed to help manage agencies self-service channels.

Intelligent Assistant uses the Adaptive Understanding technology from application developer Interactions and works to aid people who seek government services through a customer service representative, Maximus said Monday.

“Federal agencies are increasingly focused on improving the overall experience of the citizens they serve,” said Bruce Caswell, president and CEO of Maximus and a 2019 Wash100 winner.

Caswell added the authorization reflects the company's ability to provide a technology that can support agency missions and help the government deliver public services.

Maximus also holds FedRAMP certifications for its Cloud and Engagement Platform offerings.
