Maxar Announces Subscriber Growth for Cloud-Based Geospatial Data Offerings - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Maxar Technologies has seen growth in the number of customers subscribing to its line of cloud-based geospatial data products.

The line includes EarthWatch, SecureWatch, GBDX and Spatial on Demand, the company said Thursday.

“In the past year, we have more than doubled the number of the customers that rely on Maxar’s subscription products to inform their decision-making,” said Jeff Culwell, chief product officer at Maxar.

“These products combine the unrivaled quality of Maxar’s imagery with additional data sources, cloud computing and machine learning technology in ways that provide unique value to our customers,” Culwell added.

EarthWatch is designed to allow commercial clients download Maxar’s geospatial data and use analytics to generate insights from the company’s optical satellite imagery library.

SecureWatch works to allow government agencies come up with graphical intelligence reports and track areas of interest using data from the company’s RADARSAT-2 satellite and WorldView constellation.

GBDX is a geospatial big data analytics tool that helps clients facilitate decision-making by extracting satellite imagery-derived location intelligence, while Spatial on Demand is a geospatial data and imagery platform designed to help energy customers monitor operations, pipelines and other critical assets.
