Guidehouse, a leading provider of management, technology, and risk consulting services to the public and commercial markets, announced on Wednesday that Mark Gerencser, a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient, has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

Gerencser serves as chairman of the board for UMUC Ventures, which focuses on monetizing non-academic assets of the University of Maryland, University College to lower tuition costs for adults and military service members.
He also served for six years as Chairman of the Board of Visitors for UMUC and received the President’s Medal for leadership in advancing higher education.
For 31 years, Gerencser served Booz Allen Hamilton as a recognized strategy and technology expert and senior partner, a managing partner of government business in the U.S. and abroad and as a managing partner of commercial business. He was Chair of the Partnership Committee and also served on the Board of Directors.
Gerencser was nominated by the White House and confirmed by the Senate Armed Service Committee as a member of the National Security Education Board. He is a member of Business Executives for National Security and serves on its Board and Executive Committee. He’s also an independent director on the board of Alion Science and Technology.
