Lockheed Martin has received an $84.9M contract modification to architect, engineer, develop, integrate and test a maritime ballistic missile defense system for the U.S. Navy.
The modification falls under a previously awarded contract for Aegis combat system development, studies, training and software maintenance, as well as integration and testing of the Naval Integrated Fire Control-Counter Air platform, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The Navy will obligate $58.4M at the time of award and $4.2M of the obligated amount will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Work under the modification will take place in Moorestown, N.J., through December of this year.
