L3 Technologies’ KEO division has received a potential two-year, $79.4M contract modification to supply check sight and targeting sensor components for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard’s MK 34 gun weapon systems.

The modification covers MK 20 MOD 1 Electro-Optical Sensor Systems, radar cross section kits, shock ring kits, spares and engineering support services, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

MK 20 EOSS allows gun weapon systems aboard Navy's DDG 51-class and CG 47-class ships as well as USCG's offshore patrol centers to perform check-sighting, look-point-shoot, target ranges and identification of targets during anti-air and anti-surface warfare missions.

The Navy will obligate $14.1M in procurement, shipbuilding and conversion funds at the time of award.

Work under the modification could run through November 2021 if all options are exercised.
