The General Service Administration plans to conduct a hackathon on June 19 in Washington, D.C., San Francisco and six other GSA locations to enhance the usability of some agency applications and improve customer experience, Fedscoop reported Friday.
An agency spokesperson told the publication improving CX is a key aspect of the President’s Management Agenda and one of GSA’s four strategic objectives.
“GSA created the Customer Experience Hackathon to improve the overall engagement with, and usability of, GSA applications through collaboration between the private and public sectors,†the spokesperson added.
GSA will give $2.5K each to four teams selected to advance to the hackathon’s second round and award an additional $10K to the grand prize winner chosen by a “federal executive judging panel.â€
