General Dynamics‘ mission systems business plans to equip a networking module stack offering from Cubic‘s mission solutions unit with an encryption technology to help military customers address secure data during missions.
The partnership will incorporate TACLANE-Nano Type 1 encryptor into DTECH M3X network modules to help warfighters protect communications up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information classification levels, General Dynamics said Wednesday.
TACLANE Nano is built with a cryptographic technology and can integrate with kits through power over ethernet. The encryptor has a compact package with low size, weight and power specifications.
“We listened to our customers and heard that in addition to needing trusted and secure communications when mobile, they are also demanding increased performance in a low SWaP product,†said Brian Morrison, vice president for cyber solutions line of business at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
