Fortinet senior leaders have been invited to share insights at the Inter-American Defense Foundation’s Cyber Defense Conference: Western Hemisphere that will take place in Bogota, Colombia.
The two-day event, launched in partnership with the Colombian military and Inter-American Defense Board, will see Fortinet executives discuss cyber issues and macro-level strategies with delegates representing 26 countries and seven organizations, Fortinet said Monday.
Phil Quade, chief information security officer at Fortinet, will deliver a keynote address and engage participants in talks about digital convergence, security architecture, workforce skills gap and increasing global threats.
“Strategic collaboration between public and private organizations and across borders is critical as the physical and cyber worlds become more interconnected into our daily lives,†said Quade.
Pedro Paixao, head of Fortinet’s Latin America operations, will also participate in panel discussions at the event.
The symposium serves as the first cyber defense conference in the Latin American region.
