Dewberry has released a new version of its handbook that provides infrastructure engineering guidance to design experts, instructors and members of the academe.

Fourth edition of the Land Development Handbook covers a series of three books on construction, business and design and includes new case studies on private and public land development operations, Dewberry said on April 23.

Contributors that provided input for the guide include Dewberry employees, real estate developers, engineering professionals and faculty from Virginia Tech and George Mason University.

“Today, we are constantly reminded of the importance of infrastructure engineering—aging structures, population growth, diminishing resources, and a changing climate are all challenges faced by the engineering community," noted Samuel Easterling, head of Virginia Tech’s Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, in the handbook’s foreword.

The company first released its Land Development Handbook in 1995 and has sold over 40K copies to date.
