The Defense and Advanced Research Projects Agency’s defense science office will hold an industry event June 18 to discuss technical details in line with a broad agency announcement scheduled in the same month.
The Discover DSO Day aims to provide information on the office’s objectives and methodologies used in streamlining and accelerating the proposal process, DARPA said Monday.
In addition, DSO’s program managers will present various concepts in the areas of mathematics, sensor technology, preemptive systems and social networks.
“We encourage potential proposers from small companies, universities, research centers and large companies to join us,†said Valerie Browning, director of DSO at DARPA.
“We especially encourage those who’ve never done business with DARPA to come and learn about DSO and let us hear your novel ideas in the areas we’re interested in.â€
The agency has also invited the participants to ask questions at the end of each presentation.
