The Capability Maturity Model Integration Institute has appraised Octo Consulting at level four in recognition of the company's compliance with program management standards.
The appraisal honors Octo's efforts to manage projects for continuous development and alignment with business goals, the company said Tuesday.
Sujey Edward, chief technology officer at Octo, said the re-appraisal shows that agile-based software development is quantitatively measurable.
"Programs used in our re-appraisal were from across all three of our business units, making this a company-wide assessment," Edward added.
The company is also a "Gold Partner" for the Scaled Agile Framework, a standard that guides firms in agile-based software development.
