CGI Federal will help the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service update a cloud computing environment for a data repository of healthcare plans under a potential five-year, $60M contract.
The company said Tuesday it will develop a reporting tool to facilitate monitoring of 26 Health Plan Management System applications and optimize an Amazon Web Services cloud platform that supports HPMS.
HPMS is designed to store and deliver information to 14,500 users. The system supports approximately 5K health plans, 1K contract applications and 400 formularies each year.
Tim Hurlebaus, president of CGI’s federal business and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said the company will propose strategies to help drive technology transformation efforts at HHS.
CGI is among the 80 contractors that hold positions on the $25B Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract vehicle the agency awarded in June 2016.
