Black River Systems will provide open systems architecture software and hardware for U.S. Air Force counter-small unmanned aircraft systems under a three-year, $88.7M contract from the Small Business Innovation Research III program.Â
The company will work on hardware and software rapid prototyping, integration, test, demonstration and update, the Department of Defense said Thursday.Â
The cost-plus-fixed-fee award also requires simulation and modeling of tools, operational assessment, and system and data analysis.
Work will take place in Utica in New York through May 2022.Â
The Air Force will obligate $14.7M from procurement, research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
