Amazon Web Services has designated BAE Systems as a DevOps Competency Consulting Partner for the latter’s deployment of AWS tools to support organizations’ cloud migration activities.
BAE’s certified AWS DevOps staff utilizes AWS’ cloud infrastructure to help customers rapidly transition applications and workloads, protect assets and address cost and performance issues, the company said Thursday.
Manish Parikh, chief technology officer for BAE’s intelligence and security business, said the company implements DevOps practices to fortify cybersecurity, eliminate bugs and improve functionality while reducing downtime.
Peder Jungck, vice president and general manager of BAE's intelligence solutions arm, added that the partner designation accredits the company's cloud development and operation work to support government organizations.
The partner status supports the company's efforts to provide automated infrastructure management and continuous integration and delivery support to commercial and government clients through AWS’ configuration management offerings.
