Applied Insight has received ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification that recognizes the Tysons, Va.-based firm's commitment to managing quality assurance of its information technology services for the federal sector.
The company said Thursday it secured the certificate after completing an audit conducted by Sanjay Barthakur, a certified ISO auditor at GCERT/AnTS.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 validates compliance with information security service standards across systems engineering, cloud services, information technology migration, maintenance and virtual services. These standards guide companies in providing secure IT services to the federal government.
Applied Insight added it holds ISO 20000-1:2011 certification for IT service management and was appraised at Level 3 under the Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development program.
