ManTech has opened a facility in Orlando to develop training platforms in support of U.S. military cyber warfare missions.
The company said Thursday it established the Cyber Innovation Center at Central Florida Research Park in a move to accelerate the development of systems intended to train cyber warriors.
The launch featured a cyber range exercise which saw network defenders combat against real-world computer malware.
Andrew Twomey, senior vice president and general manager of defense at ManTech’s mission solutions and services business, said the company aims to equip military cyber professionals with technology intended to help them carry out missions as part of the firm’s Bringing Digital to the Mission initiative.
“Cyber Innovation Center will develop the advanced training cyber warriors need to protect vital military assets.†Twomey added.
ManTech was scheduled Thursday to host an open house that company said would include cyber network defense exercises.
Some U.S.-based financial institutions use the firm’s Advanced Cyber Range Environment in efforts to train personnel on how to defend against security threats.
