The U.S. Air Force is seeking white papers for a potential $100M multi-award contract to research and develop computing processor architectures for real-time high performance embedded computing applications.Â
A broad agency announcement issued Thursday on FedBizOpps stated the Air Force Research Laboratory is seeking proposals to build new computational tools with “sophistication, autonomy, intelligence and assurance.â€
AFRL is interested in digital signal processing, field-programmable gate array devices, graphics processing units and neuromorphic computing architectures.Â
The computing systems would mainly support service members in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations as well as size, weight and power constrained platforms.Â
The service branch plans to distribute funds annually under the BAA over the next five fiscal years.
Interested parties can submit white papers through Sept. 29, 2024.
