Tom Jackson, a retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, has joined Sarcos Robotics as vice president of the robotic systems provider's defense and public safety business.
Sarcos said Tuesday Jackson brings two decades of aerospace, defense and energy industry experience to his new role and previously served as VP and general manager of Aeryon Defense, which FLIR Systems acquired earlier this year.
He also held senior leadership roles at Sierra Nevada Corp. and General Electric.
In the same announcement, Sarcos said it appointed Bill Keever as senior VP of global sales. He previously held a VP role at automation technology company ABB.
Sarcos is headquartered in Salt Lake City and holds multiple contracts with the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Special Operations Command.
