Tenable has integrated a new feature into a cloud-based technology built to help organizations identify, examine and address vulnerabilities within an information technology environment.
The Tenable.io platform, which is a key component of the Cyber Exposure offering, now employs a mechanism to prioritize vulnerabilities based on the probability of exploitation, the company said Tuesday.
Additionally, Tenable.io works to automatically display the remediation priority of a security flaw and information on how the scores were computed. The platform's Vulnerability Priority Rating and VPR Key Drivers are meant to help IT professionals gain insight into business risks.
“Predictive Prioritization flips the advantage back to cyber defenders by telling them where they’re exposed, to what extent and which vulnerabilities to focus on first," said Renaud Deraison, co-founder and chief technological officer of Tenable.
