Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky subsidiary received a four-year, $23.4M contract to perform overhaul and maintenance work on UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for the U.S. Army.
The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract and will determine funds and work locations with each order, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DoD expects contract services to be complete by April 17, 2023.
UH-60 is designed with digital avionics systems, advanced airframe structures and chord rotor blades with a composite-wide framework intended for cargo supply as well as troop extraction and delivery operations.
More than 4K Sikorsky-built helicopters are deployed to support military operations worldwide.
