Seemann Composites has secured a potential $74.3M contract to help the U.S. Navy develop out-of-autoclave manufacturing practices and processes to build marine equipment components.

Efforts under the contract will build on composite fabrication methods designed through the service branch's Small Business Innovation Research program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The Navy will initially obligate $9.4M in fiscal 2018 funds allotted for research, development, test and evaluation activities.

Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur at Gulfport, Miss., and Horsham, Pa., through September 2021.
