The U.S. Navy awarded Northrop Grumman a one-year, $38.7M contract modification to fund the procurement of product and software support to E-2D Advanced Hawkeye production units.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee modification falls under a previously awarded contract, which covers long-lead components and support services for E-2D lot 7 production, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and will use the service branch's fiscal 2019 aircraft procurement funds to cover the full obligated amount.
E-2D is an early warning aircraft designed to help increase warfighters' situational awareness in the the information operations domain.
