Science Applications International Corp. has earned the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” after achieving a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign‘s 2019 Corporate Equality Index.

“Our CEI score is a reflection of our values and commitment to an inclusive environment where all employees are respected and appreciated," said SAIC CEO-elect Nazzic Keene, a 2019 Wash100 winner, said in a statement released Thursday.

"By creating an atmosphere where we understand our similarities and differences, our employees can be their authentic selves."

SAIC’s award certifies the company as one of the 572 industry entities that have been recognized for their LGBTQ support.

The 2019 CEI survey evaluated business organizations on LGBTQ-inclusive regulations such as anti-discrimination policies, competency programs, transgender healthcare, domestic partner benefits and LGBTQ public engagement.
