Navy Eyes CAE Data Analysis Suite for Aviation Training - top government contractors - best government contracting event

CAE is in talks with the U.S. Navy to deliver the company’s CAE Rise data analytics system to support the service’s aircrew training efforts and potentially address pilot shortages, Rotor and Wing International reported Wednesday.

A CAE spokesperson said the Canadian simulation technology provider has “briefed and demonstrated to the Navy how CAE Rise could be used to enhance and improve naval aviator training.”

CAE also intends to supply the tool suite to the Department of Defense as part of its contract awarded in 2014 to integrate training platforms for the T-44C Pegasus trainer aircraft.

CAE Rise enables live training sessions and deploys big data capabilities to mitigate subjectivity in pilot evaluations, enabling instructors to focus on non-technical or performance-based skills like communication, teamwork and workload management.

CAE last year released a RISE data suite that supports cloud-based development via Microsoft’s Azure offering intended for defense and government clients.
