Moog Aircraft Group has been selected to provide wing flight control and wingfold actuation systems for a unmanned refueling aircraft Boeing is building for the U.S. Navy.
Boeing will integrate the actuators into the MQ-25 tanker drone to support flight management and movement of the vehicle aboard a carrier, Moog said Wednesday.
The Navy awarded Boeing a potential six-year, $805.3M engineering and manufacturing development contract in August 2018 to build four MQ-25s.
The service branch expects the aircraft to reach initial operational capability status by 2024.
