Moog has secured a three-year, $84.8M contract from the U.S. Navy to repair three V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft items.
Eighty-five percent of work will take place in Elma, N.Y., while the remaining 15 percent will occur in Cherry Point, N.C., the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Pentagon expects Moog to finish contract services by March 2022.
Naval Supply Systems Command serves as the contracting activity for the sole-source acquisition.
The Bell Boeing V-22 is designed to combine a helicopter's vertical flight capability with an airplane's speed, endurance, range and altitude.
Moog offers actuators and servoactuators; controllers, controls and software; fiber optic rotary joints; medical pump systems; motors and servomotors; multiplexers and media converters; pitch systems; radial piston pumps; servo and proportional valves; and slip rings.
