Mercury Systems has finished the expansion of its design and assembly facility in Huntsville, Ala., for radio frequency and digital processing systems.
The 24K-square-foot Advanced Microelectronics Center features a laboratory equipped with production technologies and other platforms that complement with those of Mercury's other AMCs in New Hampshire, Arizona and New Jersey, the company said Thursday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Thursday for the dedication of the expanded center and attended by Rep. Mo Brooks R-Ala.; Col. Robert Barrie, military deputy to the U.S. Army's program executive office for aviation; and some local officials.
Neil Austin, vice president and general manager of Mercury's embedded sensor processing group, said the Huntsville facility holds AS9100D certification and allows the company to provide mixed-signal processing systems needed to create radar, electronic warfare and electronic intelligence platforms.
