The U.S. Army has selected ManTech International for the next phase of a collaborative effort to develop a Persistent Cyber Training Environment prototype as part of an other transaction agreement with the National Security Technology Accelerator.

ManTech said Wednesday it is one of the three companies that will help a government integration team define, develop, test and integrate tools into PCTE platform.

The Herndon, Va.-based contractor partnered with cyber technology firms Aptima Scythe and Ultimate Knowledge Institute to support the program.

Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said the company and its partners seek to introduce digital technology to military missions in an effort to help sharpen warfighters' tactical skills.

For the latest phase, the team will help the Army product manager for cyber resilience and training develop cyber training event control tools.

The PCTE program covers multiple “Cyber Innovation Challenges” that will take place at the service branch's DevOps Center in Orlando.
