ManTech International plans to apply its cybersecurity knowledge to space as adversaries target satellites and related ground systems used to support communications and other critical missions of defense and intelligence agencies, SpaceNews reported Monday.
“Protecting these assets and the critical intelligence they carry is a top priority,†Damian DiPippa, general manager of mission intelligence solutions at ManTech, said in an interview.
The company will present at the Space Symposium its data analysis services meant to support space object surveillance and related situational awareness operations in space as well as its analysis and modeling work designed to help defense agencies build a resilient space architecture.
“Our objective is to identify potential threats and figure out how to combat the threats, and get systems back up and running,†DiPippa said.
