TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 1, 2019 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) hired Stephen Denker, a U.S. Air Force veteran and former deputy director of the National Reconnaissance Office, to serve as leader of its satellite ground programs, GovCon Wire reported Friday.
The company said Thursday his duties include oversight of space ground system-focused intelligence and analytic development programs at Lockheed Martin Space’s mission solutions unit.
Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Space and a 2019 Wash100 awardee, said Denker will be in charge of the company’s digital innovation efforts in support of space-ground programs.
“At a time when both technology and operational readiness are evolving quickly, Steve’s insights into mission needs will be critical,” added Maria Demaree, vice president and general manager for mission solutions at Lockheed.
