Lockheed Martin received a $20M contract to perform technology insertion work on a U.S. Navy electronic warfare system designed for multiple submarine classes.
The company said Monday it will provide engineering and technical services for the AN/BLQ-10 system, which employs masts and periscopes to process radar signals and identify threats.
AN/BLQ-10 is designed with commercial off-the-shelf subsystems and an open architecture that can accommodate potential future updates.
Under the contract, Lockheed will design, develop, test, integrate, refresh and insert the system in new constructed and in-service underwater vessels.
