Huntington Ingalls Industries received a one-year, $28.4M contract modification for follow yard services in support of the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class destroyer program.

The company will continue to provide liaison support and technical services, design systems, conduct studies, orient crews and manage configuration and baseline under the new award, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The Navy is obligating $26.8M in shipbuilding and conversion funds at the time of award.

Work will take place in Mississippi, Washington, D.C. and Maine through April 2020.

The modification results from an exercised option and amends the original $181.4M contract that HII received last year.
