The FBI has requested a one-year extension for its use of the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services blanket purchase agreement, which is set to expire in April.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says the bureau is seeking the extension as IT Enterprise Contract Support is still in the process of being approved as a follow-on to the ITSSS BPA.
The bureau said it has over 30 task orders that are set to be awarded on ITSSS once the one-year extension is approved and would experience delays if those orders were to be competed outside the BPA on the General Services Administration“™s IT Schedule 70.
FCW reported that FBI expects to award the potential $5B ITECS contract by the first quarter of fiscal year 2020 or between October and December.
