A MacAulay-Brown subsidiary has received a potential three-year, $15M task order to develop a large-scale cloud environment for the U.S. Army.
Enlighten IT Consulting will also offer engineering services to assist in the Army's data analytics and integration activities under the task order awarded through the Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transition indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Alion Science and Technology said Thursday.
The service branch intends to use the task order to meet its data strategy objectives and utilize data gathering functions associated with the Army Leadership Dashboard Prototype Project.
The ALD Prototype Project is a two-phase program that seeks to encourage contractors to create a commercial software tool that will facilitate the decision-making process for military leaders and visualize data from unstructured and structured datasets.
The task order has a base period of 12 months and may extend to two more years if all options are exercised.
Enlighten’s cloud platform for the Army works to meet the ALD project’s storage, analysis, distribution and archival requirements using Amazon Web Services’ Simple Storage Solution within the AWS GovCloud environment.
Enlighten and MacB became part of Alion after the latter completed an acquisition deal in August 2018.
