Dan Jablonsky, president and CEO of Maxar Technologies, told SpaceNews in an interview published Wednesday the company’s move to adopt a unified operating model as part of a reorganization effort seeks to achieve cost savings and accelerate service delivery.

“We are designing the organization to operate at high velocity and to react to market conditions and customer needs much more nimbly and quickly,” he said.

Jablonsky said the company expects to launch the first WorldView Legion satellites in the first quarter of 2021 and is under contract for two satellite launches with SpaceX.

He discussed the company’s collaboration with Raytheon for the development of instruments for WorldView Legion; the Legion-X business model; the Worldview-4 satellite; and robotics programs.

Jablonsky said Maxar works with NASA on the Restore-L robotic spacecraft for satellite servicing mission in low-Earth orbit and mentioned the company’s on-orbit assembly program.
