The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plans to award Quality Software Services Inc. a follow-on task order to continue helping CMS manage a computer system used to verify personal information of consumers who want to participate in government-backed health coverage programs.
The agency said in a justification notice posted Wednesday on FedBizOpps it needs contractor support to maintain and update software for the Data Services Hub until a competitive procurement effort is completed.
DSH is built to support the Federal Facilitated Marketplace and collect data when a person logs into the FFM portal shop for health insurance offerings via the federally run marketplace.
The company completed on March 31 its work under a cost-plus-award-fee task order awarded in September 2016.
CMS said it would extend the performance of work through December 31 of next year. The agency has obligated a total of $105.1M on QSSI's contract to date.
