Shaun Bierweiler, vice president and general manager of the public sector business at Cloudera, has said public sector agencies could extract insights by using an open-source enterprise data cloud platform that is built on emerging technology such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
In a LinkedIn post published Wednesday, Bierweiler wrote that such a cloud technology will allow agencies to manage data at any stage of an information technology modernization project and even if they operate multiple data centers.
"Enterprise data cloud utilizes cutting-edge AI and ML applications to make the most of agency data with actionable intelligence by processing and streaming real-time data from multiple endpoints at the edge while predicting key outcomes and solving pressing data challenges,"Â he noted.
Bierweiler added that open-source cloud works to facilitate multifunction analytics and prevents customers from locked in to a single vendor, as well as helps users maintain data privacy and security.
He said the platform allows an organization to secure information "regardless of their deployment preference and infrastructure provider."
