CenturyLink has secured the first task order under the General Services Administration’s potential 15-year, $50B Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract for telecommunications and information technology services.
The company said Monday it will provide NASA with core network services with speeds of up to 100 Gigabits per second over a term of nine and a half years.
"It's an honor to be the first vendor awarded an EIS task order," said David Young, senior vice president for strategic government at CenturyLink.
Young, a 2019 Wash100 winner, added the company will help NASA achieve its vision through its network connectivity support services.
CenturyLink became the first company in March to secure an authority to operate on the EIS contract, which was awarded in 2017.Â
