Carahsoft has agreed to serve as the master government aggregator of GitLab to market the latter's offerings to the public sector.
The two firms seek to assist state, education and federal information technology teams speed up code delivery processes through the distribution of GitLab's software development application, Carahsoft said Wednesday.
GitLab offers a single user interface, permission model and data store to allow government IT teams to lower cycle time, work through a single conversation and focus on software development.
“As agency missions evolve and their technology stacks modernize, they require tools that allow them to accelerate the time to value in their application development process," said Natalie Gregory, vice president at Carahsoft.
Customers may avail of GitLab's offerings through Carahsoft's National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, National Association of State Procurement Officials and Enterprise-Wide Procurement contract vehicles.
