The Department of Defense recognized CACI International with two Nunn-Perry awards for mentoring Athena Technology Group and Crystal Clear Technologies through the DoD’s Mentor-Protege Program.
CACI said Wednesday it helped CCT become the first woman-owned company to win a sole-source cyber planning support contract from the U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command.
ATG secured four industry certifications with the International Organization for Standardization and the Capability Maturity Model Integration Institute as a protege of CACI, as well as added new customers including the Defense Information Systems Agency and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The DoD Mentor-Protege Program works to help smaller vendors pursue contracts with support from large contractors.
Only 10 firms received the Nunn-Perry Award during the government’s 2018 fiscal year. The department will honor recipients at a Training Week Workshop, scheduled for September.
