A team of By Light Professional IT Services and Menlo Security received an other transaction agreement from the Defense Information Systems Agency to design and develop a technology prototype for military and civilian personnel to avoid web-based threats.
Both companies will help DISA implement the Cloud Based Internet Isolation platform to help secure the Department of Defense information network by separating and moving browsing activity from desktops into a cloud environment, the companies said Thursday in a joint statement.
The partnership intends to equip Menlo Security’s Adaptive Clientless Rendering technology into CBII in an effort to secure the end user’s computer from cyber criminals.
CBII will employ the browser isolation process to address system vulnerabilities and exploits that affect browsers, plug-ins and emails.
By Light serves as the prime contractor on the project and Menlo Security offers support to build the technology.
