The Defense Threat Reduction Agency has exercised a $37.4M contract option for Booz Allen Hamilton to continue supporting the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program for an additional year.

Booz Allen will advise and assist the CTRP's program integration division under Option Perior Three of a previously awarded contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The exercised option extends performance of work through May 26, 2020. The contract has one remaining 12-month extension that will end by May 26, 2021 if the agency exercises the option.

CTRP aims to reducing threats from state actors and terrorist networks that want to obtain equipment, materials and expertise to develop weapons of mass destruction.
