Army to Host Industry Day for 'Enterprise IT as a Service' Program - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The U.S. Army will hold a government-industry collaboration day May 7 at Fort Belvoir in Virginia to discuss the service’s Enterprise Information Technology as a Service program.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday says interested stakeholders have until April 29, Monday, to register for the event, which will discuss the Army’s strategy to upgrade its enterprise network and the other transaction authority as well as feature one-on-one sessions.

The EITaaS program involves the commercial management and deployment of protected IT support services from the enterprise to the user on the Department of Defense Information Network-Army, according to a sources sought notice.

According to the draft initial requirements document, the Army seeks to team up with a service provider to deliver novel platforms needed to modernize its enterprise network and ensure interoperability between three lines of effort: network as a service; end user services; and compute and store.

NaaS LOE includes wide area network, telephone and voice services, installation campus area network and enterprise network defense, while the end user services LOE covers collaboration, video teleconferencing, mobility management and image services.

The compute and store LOE includes IT systems and data analytics, application hosting and service delivery support.
