Acuity Systems has received a contract of an undisclosed value to develop a cloud-based technology platform for the Department of Labor to manage disability compensation programs for federal employees and their dependents.
The company said Friday it will build the system for the DOL Office of Workers Compensation Programs with the use of Agile methods, a DevSecOps delivery model and commercial off-the-shelf and open-source software components.
The project centers on the development of a unified platform-as-a-service infrastructure designed to help the department simplify the process to review, distribute and administer of government employee benefits such as medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and wage replacement for those who sustained workplace injuries or occupational diseases.
Herndon, Va.-based Acuity noted it uses a framework to produce enterprise-grade platforms to support clients in the deployment of decision support tools.
