The White House will convene for the first time a new advisory board whose purpose is to help the Trump Administration tackle issues affecting the U.S. workforce, Reuters reported Sunday.
The American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, which was created through Executive Order 13845, is made up of 25 members, among whom are the CEOs of various major U.S. firms such as Lockheed Martin, IBM, Apple and Siemens.
Ivanka Trump and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross will co-chair the board, which will partner with the National Council for the American Worker in formulating and enacting "a strategy to revamp the American workforce to better meet the challenges of the 21st century".
The meeting is scheduled for March 6 and will take place at the White House complex. The proceedings are expected to last for three hours and will be available for viewing online via a livestream.
