Virtru has obtained Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program certification for a software product designed to protect government data across networks.
The company said Wednesday its data protection platform is now available on the FedRAMP marketplace along with other products from 128 vendors that aim to help customer agencies move IT applications to cloud-based infrastructure.
"We’re thrilled to be part of the government’s digital transformation toward secure, cloud-based collaboration and data protection,†said John Ackerly, co-founder and CEO of Virtru.
Ackerly added the company seeks to facilitate intra- and cross-agency collaboration with the platform.
Virtru's technology supports data encryption efforts at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the state of Maryland.
