Verizon, AT&T Get Authority to Operate on EIS Telecom Contract; Michael Maiorana Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Verizon and AT&T have secured an authority to operate on the General Services Administration’s potential 15-year, $50B Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract for telecommunications and information technology services.

GSA said Monday the companies each received the three-year ATO on Friday, March 22, after they completed the business support system security testing phase, which evaluated their capacity to process task orders and deliver services under the EIS vehicle.

“We’re excited to receive our ATO and will utilize best practices and lessons learned to support agencies' unique requirements and transition them to EIS quickly and efficiently,” Michael Maiorana, senior vice president of public sector at Verizon and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said in a statement published Monday.

CenturyLink became the first company to receive an ATO on the EIS contract, which was awarded in 2017.
