The Boeing-developed Wideband Global Satcom system will take off from Space Launch Complex-37 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, ULA said Wednesday.

Aerojet Rocketdyne’s RL10B-2 engine and Northrop Grumman’s solid rocket motors will help power the Delta IV, which will carry the WGS satellite designed to host wideband connectivity between the U.S. and its allies around the world.

"Our focus on mission success continually demonstrates that safely and reliably delivering these critical national assets is our highest priority," said Gary Wentz, vice president of government and commercial programs at ULA.

The Air Force has tapped ULA for launch services to support its prior WGS missions.
