Technology Solutions Provider Inc., a supplier of Checkmarx products, has received a multi-year contract to integrate the latter's software security system for the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
TSPi will implement the Checkmarx-made Static Application Security Testing and Open Source Analysis platforms in the laboratory's software development life cycle, Checkmarx said Tuesday.
CxSAST is designed to help users detect cybersecurity weaknesses in custom code and open source platforms, while CxOSA works to facilitate the management and prevention of detected vulnerabilities in open source applications.
"As more organizations look to take on a DevOps centric approach, securing the entire software development life cycle is critical to ensuring a successful transition," said Rich Wajsgras, vice president of U.S. Federal at Checkmarx.
PNNL is working to boost its software protection through the use of security testing tools. The laboratory focuses on projects in the areas of data analytics, earth sciences and chemistry.
