Microsoft has unveiled several cloud-based platforms designed to help federal, local and state government agencies implement their information technology modernization efforts and improve the delivery of citizen services.

Toni Townes-Whitley, president of U.S. regulated industries at Microsoft, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday that one of those platforms is Microsoft Teams, a chat-based workspace meant to facilitate communication and collaboration among government employees.

Microsoft Teams is now available in the company’s Government Community Cloud High and Department of Defense environments.

Townes-Whitney also announced the launch of Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement for Government as well as the addition of mobile and security capabilities to the Microsoft 365 Government platform.

Microsoft Power Platform is designed to help users analyze, act and automate data, while Dynamics 365 in GCC High environment is built to allow agencies gain access to customer service, correspondence management, grants and task management and mission planning applications and other cloud-based apps.
